1.Can I use your pen?----Yes , you can./No, you can’t .

情態(tài)動(dòng)詞：Can, May , Could 的用法

1.共同點(diǎn)：三者均可表示請(qǐng)求，允許。意思為：”………………可以嗎？”

2.不同點(diǎn)： CAN表示請(qǐng)求或允許，多用于口語(yǔ)中，意為“可以、能”等。

如：Can I help you ?

May表示“許可、準(zhǔn)許、請(qǐng)求許可”，此時(shí)與 can 同義，可以互換使用

如：May I use your ruler ??

Sure ,/Certianly . ?/Yes , please.?

No, you mustn’t /No , you can’t .

注意：否定回答不能說(shuō)成No, you may not .

Could 的其他幾種用法：

1.Could ?作為can的過(guò)去式，表示過(guò)去的能力。

2.表示驚訝，懷疑，不相信等態(tài)度，主要用于否定句或者疑問(wèn)句，此時(shí)could ? 與can無(wú)時(shí)間上的區(qū)別，但語(yǔ)氣比can緩和，情緒要弱。

3.表示可能性，只對(duì)將來(lái)，現(xiàn)在后者過(guò)去某種可能的推測(cè)

4，用于虛擬語(yǔ)氣。

◆相同點(diǎn)

ill 與sick 都可以表示“生病的”，都可作表語(yǔ)。如：

Alice was ill / sick yesterday.

◆不同點(diǎn)

表示“生病”時(shí)，sick 可作定語(yǔ)，但ill 通常不作定語(yǔ)。如：

Could you help the sick girl?
